harvest festival Sept 2010

In September I took the boys to a fall harvest festival.
I was surprised at how into painting the pumpkins Everett was. It seems like when I try to do art/craft things with him at home he isn't very interested. He usually does the activity for a couple minutes then he's done. But, at the harvest festival we painted pumpkins for at least 20 minutes...we was so proud of it, he could hardly wait to show it to Erick. Ryan did pretty well too. He somehow managed to stay on task for most of the time and made very little mess. I was impressed.

Everett really likes tractors. I think it's because my grandpa has one that he rode around on. And, it must just be cool to see something driving around that isn't a car.

They had a petting zoo, which Ryan was totally a fan of until we actually went in the little cage, then I couldn't put him down. He was especially terrified of the camel.

There was also a bounce house and a hayride. The kids really had a good time. It's fun taking them to things like this that offer new experiences and then to see their reaction.

Oh my that's a fat pig haha! Looks like lots of fun. Petting zoos are the best - it's so much more enjoyable to get to see them react up close and personal to the animals. Even if they are scared:)
