Some of you may not know this, and I hope Erick won't be upset for me posting this, but Erick did not go to high school and didn't receive his GED until after his mission. When he came home he started the battle of college with an eye looking forward to professional school. And now, he did it!! After all his work and efforts, he is finally admitted into school! He's such an example to me of continuing forward despite discouragement!
I must also add, that through these years of applying, waiting, and disappointment, we have been tremendously blessed. The Lord has shaped our paths in ways that Erick and I would have never dreamed of. He has directed us to people and places that have truly blessed us. I know that even when things may not be going exactly according to our plans, that the Lord is simply making so much more of us than even our grandest plans could! Our faith has been stretched and strengthened, we have grown closer together as a couple. We have truly been given the greatest gifts from God along the way. I am so thankful for a good husband that keeps on keeping on, and for the Lord on whom we rely for all of our blessings.
