4th with the Indiana Haynie's

My brother and his wife came down from Indiana for the 4th of July. We had such a great time together!
We went to Gibson's donuts on Saturday morning. If you haven't been there and you're in Memphis you HAVE to go! The donuts are exceptional, the service is outstanding, the environment is so much fun, and you can't (well maybe you could but you'd know it in the quality) beat the price. It's really fun. The kids all picked out a donut and then chowed down.

I think Everett picked the one with the most frosting. He didn't even eat the donut, he just ate the frosting, face first.
In this picture he's looking at the flying pigs on the ceiling. A grandpa gave us one on Saturday. I can hardly wait to hang it in Everett's room.

We rode the trolley around down town. Fun, but got a little long and a little hot.

Ryan learning to front crawl. Just kiddin'. He loved playing in the water even though the ground is obviously so uneven. He kept falling and trying again.

Walking back across the bridge. Everett and Faith held hands the whole walk. They even ran together holding hands.

We also went to the sprinkler park. No pics, but Jared's kids had fun. Mine were a little too afraid...maybe the freezing cold water?? Or the spraying?? Oh well. They had fun too, just not in the water.

We went for a short hike. AKA nature walk. It was really fun and beautiful.

There was a river on the hike. We went down and threw some large rocks/boulders into the river. The kids thought it was so great. I think Erick really liked it too. He got some pretty big rocks to throw in.

And of course the kids got all muddy so they had to wash off before going back up to the trail.

When the cousins were getting ready to leave, I told the kids to turn around for a picture and look at the sun. This is what Everett did. too funny.
