venting...although it may be boring to you

Okay, so I'm going to do a small little vent about what happened to me tonight. Erick and I recently bought Microsoft Office Small Business 2007. Well, just like advertised, there are a million awesome things you can do with it...that is if you can get them to work! Oh I'm so frustrated! Apparently, you have to validate your copy with Microsoft in order to use all the cool things, easy enough, or so you'd think! Well, needless to say, I'm not much of a computer pro, and I can't get it to work no matter how many times I've followed the directions online. So, finally I decided that I would call the support to get some help.

Now the frustration really sets in. You see, it's not enough that we paid about $200 for this program, they charge 49 bucks per question you ask them on the phone! Unbelievable! What happened to customer service?!

So, I decided well, I'm going to call them, and tell them I'm not going to pay $49 bucks for them to answer my questions when I just bought the product, it's not working, AND I've already tried a billion different things from online 'helps' (all by the way were very difficult to find on their so called 'easy to use' website). So, I called, talked to a voice recorder for a couple minutes only to find out that I was calling when they are closed. That's fine. Okay, so I'll call back during office hours, well, they didn't even tell me what office hours were! The recording just said, 'be sure to call back during office hours. Goodbye. click.'

Okay. Thank you for being SO very helpful. If I knew more about computers I'd start my own office system that was friendlier and easier! See if I ever recommend office 2007 to anyone! GRR.

AND I must say I'm getting frustrated with blogger right now cause how in the world do you put spaces between paragraphs?? It always works when I compose and when I preview the post, but published, NEVER! GRR SQUARED.

Sorry it's so frustrating! You're probably over it now that I'm writing a week later. I had the same problems with blogger, but one tip I've figured out is working with the HTML (which is basically the computer lingo). If you're composing a post, just click on HTML and it'll show your writing with computer terms in between. You can just press the "enter" key where you want the spaces and preview it until it looks right. Make sense yet?

Hope that helps!
