Surprise #1Last week I had the "big" ultra sound that they do all the measurements of the baby and if you want they can also tell you if you're having a boy or a girl. Erick and I were still trying to decide on the way to the doctor if we should let it be a surprise or not...so unsurprisingly we decided to find out! It was just too much to take! And....it's a BOY!...And that was a surprise to me because I just had this 'feeling' that I was having a girl---obviously it was just me really, really hoping, not surprisingly.
Early Surprise #2 At that same ultra sound, they told me that my due date, according to the size of the baby is actually 10 days earlier!! Yippy! That's always such better news than 10 days later! Originally I thought I would be due the last week of April or first of May. Then, I went to the doctor and found out I was 4 weeks further along than I thought and made my due date be April 5. Then last week with the measurements they moved my date to March 25!!! Now that's exciting!
Early Surprise #3 SANTA clause Santa made a special trip and came a little early to our house. Okay, so what happened is, Erick ordered something online for me, and when it was delivered, well I answered the door, saw the box, and immediately knew what it was! And, for all you seamstresses out there, you need one of these!
it's a Rowenta DG5030...basically meaning, it has the best steam and ironing abilities. When you press a hem or something, it's like it's sewn! You don't even have to pin! Oh, I love it! Or, if you just iron clothes, it will iron through BOTH layers of jean pant legs at once!! And, if you think this is such a strange Christmas gift, or that I'm a 1950's housewife...that's fine cause I LOVE IT!! Good choice Erick!

I've been hoping all season (of course) that BYU would beat Utah, but as the season has gone on, my hopes were starting to feel in vain. It seems that BYU just hasn't played a solid game since USU or TCU...this was definiately the worst surprise of all! I guess there's always next year!

You are funny, I think we're both lucky to be having healthy babies period! But at the same time you must admit having a girl is A LOT more trouble! Plus you'll probably have quite a few more kids than I will, so you have a good chance of getting one sometime :) I'm jealous your due date is now in March!
