We had a great time together. It was of course some effort, but not nearly as much. Ryan had his high chair (a major bonus!) and Everett actually ate dinner. PLUS, I didn't have to chase him around! It was really a fun time!

Picnic in the yard
Everett loves picnics. We've been on several lately with our friends. The other day he wanted to go on a picnic a lot but I really didn't feel like putting in all the effort to get everything ready, drive to the park, set everything up, chase him around, he didn't eat dinner because he wanted to swing, clean everything up, and then feed him at home anyway. Solution? Have a picnic in the backyard!

So fun! I have resorted to picnics on a blanket on our living room floor at times. That is especially fun if it's raining, snowing, or just plain cold! :)
what a great idea! we're going to have to do that soon. i know what you mean about chasing little boys...makes it kind of hard to go anywhere.

Fabulous idea! you're right...it's so daunting to pack everything up and go somewhere, so why not just go in the backyard to change things up?! Can't wait for consistent weather to do this!
