A question to ya'll

Lately I have been feeling a little torn about my creativity blog and I thought I would ask all of your opinions on it. First of all I have to admit that I tend to get a little obsessed excited about something and start to let it dominate my time. So, naturally when I started my creativity blog I had all these ideas and plans as to how I was going to make it grow and become well trafficked....etc, etc.

And, I think it's going well. I usually get about 30+ hits a day and I think that's pretty good considering I haven't had it very long and I could update it a lot more often to get more traffic. Okay, so what's my problem with it? It's two fold.
First. I feel like I spend too much time thinking about it, doing things for it, updating it.... This translates into me feeling like I spend too much virtual time and not enough real time with my kids and my family, doing REAL things and building real life relationships. But for me it is sometimes hard to find a balance of just doing things in moderation. It's like I'm either doing it all the way, or I'm not doing it at all. Does that ever happen to you?

Second. In some ways I don't feel like it is what I want it to be and I don't have the skills right now to have it be what I want it to be. What I mean by that is, I want it to look very professional and perfect nice. But, I am lacking in photography skills and a lot of times I feel like my pictures just look so homemade. Not handmade but homemade, there is a big difference if you know what I mean. And, I don't feel like I want to give it the time to make it be exactly what I want it to be.
So, here is where I want your opinion. Should I just say 'oh well' and give up on it for a while since it's not really accomplishing my goals for it.

Or, should I just keep going with it knowing that it's just mediocre and feeling a little disappointed by it??

I would definitely keep it and call it your work in progress. It can only get better with more experience!

I totally agree with Ash. Call it a work in progress and it will get better with time.

As regards to balance, maybe set a time limit that you think is acceptable to be on the computer working on your blog. Once you reach that amount then you are done blogging for the day, every other day whatever.
I enjoy your other blog. I think you are doing a great job.

I feel the exact same way. It does take a lot of time and I feel like the ones that have amazing blogs are doing it for their jobs. I totally hear you!!!

I think you should keep it up and blog when you feel like it and don't when you don't. You'll still learn a lot for how to improve and make it what you want it to be even by just doing it half halfheartedly. Also, I like it. :)
