I posted many a post to hopefully catch ya'll up on little glimpses of our lives. So, keep reading down, down, down
(to the ring of fire)We went to our ward trunk or treat. It is a really fun tradition. It's sorta crazy to think that it was our 3rd trunk or treat with this ward! Seriously, it's been THREE years. I am amazed at how quickly the time has gone.
Anyway, it's a little mini carnival. There is face painting, 'fishing' for prizes, bobbing for apples, a cake walk, a few other games and then a trunk or treat. It is always really fun, but this year it was particularly fun since Everett actually started to understand the concept of dressing up and trick or treating (which HE LOVED). We was going from car to car in his sweet little voice saying 'trick or treat' and 'thank you'. It was so fun to watch! And he was having so much fun being dressed up in his costume. All this just makes me so excited for Christmas! I can hardly wait to watch him. I have a feeling that the holidays are just going to become more and more fun. I guess as a parent when your kids get older it must be more fun to simply watch them and take in the magic they experience.

Our costumes were literally thrown together in the 20 minutes before the party. I know they aren't anything super impressive, but they worked for us. Especially since Erick isn't too keen on dressing up. I was a crazy sewing lady (is that a costume or real life?!). All I did was throw threads from my sewing trash all over my black clothes, wear a measuring tape, and mess up my hair. Everett of course was Zorro. He looked pretty slick. I'm pretty sure he was the hit of the party. Ryan was 'beary scary' and wore a t-shirt that said 'beary scary' on it. Easy. Erick was Clark Kent. Just his white shirt and dress pants with a bright blue t-shirt underneath and a superman insignia pinned on to the shirt. I think he looks pretty handsome. He could easily pass as superman.

No, Everett doesn't have a weird eye, it's just his hurry up and make it eye mask riding up. Poor kid. Love the little smile.

Oh heavens Jenn! No you didn't spark my "outburst." :) I forgot to mark your blog private and thought maybe you hadn't updated in a loooong time, until I saw that you were private a couple weeks again when I checked. But I'm so happy to catch up with your family! Everything from your competition (congrats - loved reading the whole stressful story and how you conquered all obstacles) to your cleaning up spaces to your October festivities. Has it really been 3 years? Will you be driving back to Utah any time soon? ;) We'd love to be your pitstop again, although we won't be in Omaha until next spring-ish. By the way, I am sooo going to enter your contest for the project on your other blog! (I really really love your new york fabric skirt and want one! :). Anyway, I have had this project floating around in my mind for months, and last night I sat down to do it without inspiration. Then at church today, it all came together in my head. Good thing because it's a Christmas gift!
K sorry that was long. It's good to finally catch up! :)
